What we help with at home
Every visit is shaped around your symptoms, goals, lifestyle and stage of life.
Pregnancy and birth prep
- Pelvic floor preparation
- Breathing and core coordination
- Mobility and positioning strategies
- Strength training modifications
- Pain management techniques during pregnancy
Postpartum recovery
Pelvic floor physical therapy can help you return to exercise, lifting, running and daily life with more confidence and less discomfort.
- Core weakness and diastasis recti
- Pelvic pressure and painful movement
- Scar mobility
- Return-to-gym and return-to-running progressions
Leaking when you jump, run, sneeze, laugh or exercise
Common, but not something you simply have to live with. Therapy can help improve strength, coordination, pressure management and control so you can get back to exercise and everyday life.
Perimenopause and pelvic health
Hormonal and physical changes can bring urgency, leaking, pelvic heaviness, core weakness and pain with exercise. The goal is to help you stay active and strong.
Cleared at six weeks is not the same as recovered
Many women are told everything looks normal at the six-week postpartum visit while they still have core weakness, leaking, pelvic pressure or back pain. The issue is not that you are broken. It is that no one has checked whether your body is ready for what you are asking of it.
Symptoms that linger
Leaking with exercise, core weakness, pelvic heaviness or pressure, back, hip or SI joint pain, pain with intimacy, and fear of returning to running or lifting.
It is not too late
Six weeks, six months or several years after birth, we can work on strength, mobility, pelvic floor function and confidence with exercise.
Answers and a plan
Some women want a single assessment and a clear roadmap; others choose guided support through the most important stages of healing. We recommend what fits your goals.
What happens in your assessment
A private, one-on-one session with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Depending on your goals and symptoms it may include:
- Pelvic floor screening, when appropriate
- Core and abdominal assessment, including diastasis recti evaluation
- Breathing and pressure management
- Movement analysis for lifting, running, exercise or daily tasks
- Strength and mobility testing
- Return-to-exercise planning and a personalized recovery roadmap

Questions about in-home pelvic floor care
Do I need a referral from my doctor first?
You do not need a physician referral to start physical therapy at Elevate615: Tennessee allows direct access. If longer care later needs a physician involved, we coordinate with them.
Is it too late if I am more than six weeks postpartum?
No. Many women start during pregnancy or soon after delivery, but it is not too late to address symptoms at six weeks, six months or several years.
Do you really come to my home?
Yes. Our concierge physical therapist travels to homes across Nashville, Franklin, Brentwood, Donelson and surrounding communities.
What if I do not want months of physical therapy?
That is fine. Many women want answers, reassurance and a clear plan. Some choose a single assessment and recovery roadmap; others use a three-visit recovery package. We recommend what is best for your goals.
Can you help me return to running, lifting or exercise?
Yes. Whether your goal is running, CrossFit, strength training, yoga, pickleball, golf or keeping up with your kids, we build a plan around your goals and symptoms.
When should I start during pregnancy?
You can benefit at any stage. Starting in the early second trimester, around 12 to 16 weeks, allows time to build coordination, address breathing and keep up your strength training.
