Fitness Assessment
The fitness assessment is a one-hour evaluation with a Doctor of Physical Therapy that blends clinical testing with performance measures, so you know where you stand before you pick a training goal. It is for athletes, active adults, people starting out and people coming back from injury in Franklin, Brentwood and Nashville, Tennessee. We do not only measure; we interpret the results and guide you.
Four measures of your health and performance in one hour
Orthopedic mobility and stability scan
We identify strengths, weaknesses and movement imbalances from a Doctor of Physical Therapy’s point of view, so your program starts with clinical insight.
VO₂ max prediction test
An estimate of your cardiovascular endurance and aerobic capacity, to show your fitness level and let you track change over time.
Strength age panel
A measure of muscular balance, power and capacity compared with your peers, to show how your strength stacks up and where to focus.
Movement and performance screen
A movement screen of strength, flexibility and mobility that guides safe training or rehab. Most people do not know where their weak links are; this shows where they are.
Who benefits from a fitness assessment
You do not need to be an athlete. If you want baseline numbers for your body, this is a clear place to begin.
- Athletes who want to optimize performance
- Adults starting a new fitness routine
- People recovering from injury
- People with chronic pain concerns
- Pre-surgical fitness preparation
- Longevity and healthy aging goals
- Corporate wellness programs
- Anyone who wants baseline health metrics

What comes after the assessment
Ongoing coaching
If your results point toward structured strength work and accountability, personal training is one-on-one coaching with our performance team.
Longer programs
To compare package structures, training frequency or small-group sessions, see performance therapy.
Physical therapy first
If the assessment shows pain, injury or movement limits that should be treated before performance is the priority, we begin with physical therapy.
Questions about the fitness assessment
How long does it take?
The assessment is one hour.
Do I need a referral?
You do not need a physician referral to start physical therapy at Elevate615: Tennessee allows direct access. If longer care later needs a physician involved, we coordinate with them.
What if you find pain or an injury?
Then your results say so, and we plan the order of care with you: treating the pain first where that makes sense, and building toward performance after.
